all thanks to chapter 3 of my psych book
It's my first Christmas to not receive anything from anyone of my ninongs and ninangs, many of whom are my mom's and dad's officemates. This sounds materialistic, but I love receiving things from them. It's saddening on my part, not to mention my sister and my brother are still young enough to receive lots of stuff from their respective ninongs and ninangs in the Christmases (if there's such a word) to come. It's sad that we are all classically conditioned to have this materialistic spirit when the holidays come. When we were kids, we are given stimuli that we consider naturally pleasurable for our age back then when the Christmas season comes--lots of toys, money, new clothes, shoes and candies---that we learn to associate, or rather, think that Christmas is not Christmas without these things. This materialistic conditioning tends to yank the so-called "True Meaning of Christmas" from our developing brains as children, and so we carry this as we become adults. I have seen this in my little cousins (some of whom are my godchildren), and of course, in myself and in a lot of Scrooge-like adults on earth. It's bad that we weren't counter-conditioned from this mentality by our parents, family members and ninongs and ninangs, but it's far worse that we have to do the counter-conditioning ourselves as we grow up.

Super bentang trips to, kaso sayang, it never materialized. Naisip ko rin kanina na dapat gawing test ang oblation run para sa mga bio majors. Para matuto kaming maging clinical sa ganitong bagay...we'll be seeing the schlongs of our patients anyway at some point. Ang tumawa, zero. Ang mandiri, zero. Hahaha.

adults are out to destroy the world
Some ideas I had when I was riding a jeep home from school one night. ~~~~~~~ When adults see you giving food to a beggar, they'll call you a saint. If they hear you question why there are beggars who have nothing to eat and rich people who have everything, they call you a communist. When they see you going to church every Sunday, follow traditions and ceremonies (though you were only forced to go), they'd call you pious. When you ask where these came from and what their bases are, they'd call you a faithless heretic. When they see you studying for a profession, they call you intelligent and industrious. When they see you studying for a passion, they call you an impractical idiot. When kids fight over the ownership of something they found on the street, adults will tell them to share. When adults fight over the ownership of something, they'd rather kill than share.

waley na utak= waley post
Nako nako. Enjoy at okay ako sa IUPAC naming and everything else. Pero, patayin na ang resonance! CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE NALOKA ANG CONVULUTIONS NG BRAIN KO!!! Hahaha. Bitter ako? Hindi naman. Nako. Sana maging okay lang lahat. Wala kaming Psych ngayon...nasa Bicol (tama ba?) si Ms. Ang. So instead of taking part of every Domingo family member's morning rush, here I am, chilling in front of the PC. Sarap ng walang 7.30 class. My study desk looks like crap. Ang daming papel. Nako, pag napansin ni mama to, yari na naman ako. Better start fixing stuff. TANGGALIN NA ANG MGA REQUIRED SUBJECTS NA HINDI NAMAN SINASAMA SA QPI (errr..except PE, kasi enjoy ako dun. *ehem*nstp*ehem)! Linteeeekkk. There's this maxim that goes, "There are things that you love to do, and things that you don't want to do, but you've got to do them just the same because you need to." Pero, nakakawala lang talaga ng enthusiasm ang (isang unexplainable) C...it takes me triple the effort to fix stuff for NSTP now..and it sucks.I need to fix and submit something for a program abroad on or before Dec. 31. I really want to join this program, but lack of funds seem to be getting in the way. Grabe. Ang hirap ng sitwasyon...one of the greatest opportunities that came my way will be halted KASI WALA AKONG PERA. Tsk. To think that I really, really want to join this thing. Sana libre talaga lahat. Haha. When was the last time I prayed? Read my bible? I can't remember. I'm sorry Lord... This week is the unluckiest week in my second sem. But thank God for sustaining me...and for giving me someone that I look forward to seeing and hugging everyday.

disappointment
Don't get me wrong. I completely understand what happened, and it gave me reasons not to get mad at you. I understand you..I really do. It's just that I was expecting you...and it really did me no good. I'm sorry if I'm not talking to you right now. I was disappointed...and that, for me, is more of an internal battle as compared to anger. The thing with me is that I bounce back quicker from anger than I do from disappointment. You should know that by now. Sorry. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ayan. Para makapagsimula na akong mag-aral.
