new year cheers

hey guys! i'm back. :D
i sort of broke my promise that I'll be back by the 28th of December from the province. Instead, I came back just hours ago. The Hale concert booked me for an extended stay in our province.

anyway, I'll just be greeting y'all a Happy New Year.

it's really nice to know that another year has passed, yet, here I am, alive and typing. :D yes. :D

as every last second of year 2005 trickle down the drain, we must all thank the good Lord for giving us each day of the past year which are full of lessons, memories and special moments we all shared with our loved ones and friends.

well...

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!

keep what's good and chuck what's bad.

~~~~~~
yan na muna, tska na ung iba. sarap manood ng fireworks ng kapitbahay eh. :D nyahaha.
christmas greetings
wow...christmas eve is only hours away. how time flies. ang bilis talaga ng oras.
until now, I can't get myself to accept the fact that we are days away from welcoming the new year.
we'll be going to the province tomorrow morning, and this may be my last entry until the 28th.
here goes.
***
I just arrived from SM Fairview awhile ago with my brother who accompanied me. We went there because I had to pay my celphone bill which skyrocketed because I placed too many calls. One-fourth of these calls were placed because of urgency, and Three-fourths were...well...because I was too damn lazy to punch my phone's keypad to send a text message. Moral of the story: don't call using your phone unless it's very important. send a text message instead. Laziness will cost you P1000+.
we also watched a movie, because I was dying to watch Chicken Little. The green-clad chicken was very cute...but his cuteness level meter dropped two inches from the highest calibration because he had this...erm...voice...that didn't quite suit his small body. [SPOILER ALERT] the movie had this very funny script. not just plain funny though, the humor required at least some basic knowledge about singers [like barbara streisand, for instance] and aliens [crop circles]. you also need a...well...a brain to catch those "funny thing". Though the plot was much more like Finding Nemo's [you know, the "Dad-don't-you-trust-me?-yes-I-trust-you-son" kind of thing], I still found it fun to watch. Three-fourths of a whole eyecandy, if you ask me.
a trip to the mall wouldn't be complete without dropping by the arcade. I played [make a wild guess, then highlight the empty space]{hey, did you guess already? if you haven't, hypothesize first before highlighting this empty space again.} Dance Maniax [did you get it right? tag me if you did. hehehe...la lang.]. I was doing well. I played two times already. then at the third token... I failed. At ALL MY LOVE...i failed. well...my eyes were strained na kasi. tska tagal ko naring di nakapaglaro. *chuckles nervously*. oh, well. ^^
Before going home, we went by Red Ribbon to buy two cakes to bring home to the province as pasalubong.
"O, tatlo nalang! tatlo sa kanan!"
the barker's voice brought good news. Lucky us. we didn't have to wait long for a jeep. we boarded and then we sat down. I bent my head to open my bag and to take P20 for our fare.
"Camille!"
I lifted my head to look for the one who called me. I immediately saw my former schoolmates, Paola Leonardo and Camille Liwag. we chatted for a little while, asking them how are they and they did the same.
"san ka na nga pla nag-aaral ngayon?"
"sa quesci."
I answered that question with pride. after all, I am really proud that I am a Scientian. ^^
upon reaching our stop, FCM, I asked the driver to stop the vehicle, turned to say goodbye to Paola and Camille, then we got off the jeep. We went inside FCM to buy Mareca's internet card, then we took a tricycle home.
so there. ^^
Oh, I just remembered, I have to pack my things for tomorrow and cook our dinner [sinigang na tilapia, my sister's favorite].
Have a merry and blessed Christmas everybody!
I'll see you on the 28th.
ciao! :D
brain pattern
Your Brain's Pattern
Your mind is a firestorm - full of intensity and drama.
Your thoughts may seem scattered to you most of the time...
But they often seem strong and passionate to those around you.
You are a natural influencer. The thoughts you share are very powerful and persuading.
january 25 means what?
Your Birthdate: January 25
You excel at anything difficult or high tech.
In other words, you're a total (brilliant) geek.
It's difficult for you to find people worth spending time with.
Which is probably why you'll take over the world with your evil robots!
Your strength: Your unfailing logic
Your weakness: Loving machines more than people
Your power color: Tan
Your power symbol: Pi
Your power month: July
how do you see me?
Slow and Steady
Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy.
They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder.
It'd really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment.
They expect you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then usually decide against it.
december days
it's december 22, three days before santa comes. but I haven't written anything about the december days that have passed. I'll try my best to recall everything I could.
so..here goes. *hithit ng hangin*
1. DECEMBER 3
...was Owen's birthday. Happy Birthday, former seatmate! Pasensya ka na kung ala akong gift sau. :D Happy Birthday!
2. DECEMBER 6
...was the Carol Fest eliminations. We really practiced hard for that day. Our songs were Ode to Joy which included its lyrics' [darn] German translation and Heto na Naman. Avo girls wore white skirts with white tops and peach and pink boleros for the sopranos and altos respectively. the boys wore white polos with black pants and a red sash studded with gold and silver stars...everyone looked nice. everyone gave their best shot. everyone...erm...
....we got eliminated.
well...`nuff said.
3. DECEMBER 7
...was the Carol Fest Finals for the sections who got through the eliminations, namely Becquerel, Curie and Darwin for batch 06. I must say that the 06 people really are very good, especially Becq and Darwin who got first and third place respectively.
this was also the day when we found out why we didn't get through the eliminations.
curse those german lyrics. curse those g********s [gelynne, marella, sing with me! G*******s, g*******s ni L*****a! wahaha.].
oh, well.
congratulations, becq and darwin! you deserve it! :D
4. DECEMBER 9-10
...were the day[s] of our retreat in the Divine Word Seminary in Tagaytay. We were all excited about it, and it was worth it. As we entered thelecture hall of the seminary, we immediately saw one of Father Arnold Janssen's busts [the statue that only shows the head down to the shoulders], which reminded us SHSians of our grade school days [hail to you, Father Janssen, the founder of three congregations]. we were asked to group ourselves into 6 for the room assignment. Dana, Natalie, Hazel B., Jamie and CJ were my room mates, and we were assigned to room 304. i really did enjoy myself though my head was painfully throbbing that night because of crying [and Jamie, that's why I slept really ahead of you guys]. thanks, Father for making me realize that I am a human time bomb, and that I am loved. :D
and I, for the rest of my life shall not forget these words that were professed by my own mouth [to that last person I would like to be stuck in an elevator with]:
"proud ako sayo kasi nakakayanan mo araw-araw ang mga problema mo."
well...I am trying my very best to shake these words from my head, you know.
5. DECEMBER 12
...was the day we went to Divisoria to shop for gifts. there were many cheap buys that really give meaning to the equimarginal principle. I saw Janica and Valerie Legaspi there, and according to many, there were many Scientians out bargain hunting that day in 168. cool.
and oh, I saw Korina Sanchez there, in the flesh. ahahaha.
6. DECEMBER 15
...was our Christmas party! yey! our last day of school that marks the start of the Christmas vacation. We arrived awfully early that day, but there were many people already. I gave out a lot of gifts, and recieved quite a lot too. ^^ most of them were earrings [i just love `em] and most of these beauties are stars. I also got a Paramita CD from Kim who picked me as her baby for the exchange gift! awwww...thanks, everyone, for the gifts. May God bless each one of you.
so that's about it!
this season, I give cheers for world peace.
Merry Christmas, everybody. :D
new skin
I changed my blog's skin.
at long last, i finally found the layout I've been looking for.
I hope you'll like it as much as I do.
cheerio! :D
part two
this is part two of the previous post. well...sorry it took me sooooooooo long to update my blog. my sister went through a ragnarok frenzy these past few weeks.
anyway...*clears throat*
NOVEMBER 19
a. Theobern's birthday celebration
...in yellow cab annex at 1 pm. Jamie and I met in McDo carpark at 10 am to buy a gift for him. but, because of that damn dance maniax machine (or maybe because of our addiction...maybe.), we arrived late but we still caught them there.
when we arrived, we were received gleefully...well...maybe too gleefully.
when we entered...
bam.
what the hell was HE doing , in a yellow shirt, standing there?
i was also wearing a yellow shirt.
oh...well. thanks for the pizza, theo.
b. hanging out with avo 4 in the North Susana clubhouse
...for the mascot making contest on the 22nd. we arrived late because we've been in theo's birthday celebration. we thought they'd be really angry at us, but thank God they weren't. all went well, except for the fact that I went home with my jeans full of gaw-gaw stains. [cheers to all gaw-gaw-weras and those newspaper strippers. you know who you are.]
NOVEMBER 21
a. cram. cram. cram. cram a bit more.
...for the mascot making contest. we really crammed a lot for jason irving's costume. even the design was not that clear yet! yikes.
NOVEMBER 22
a. mascot making contest eliminations
...in our very own classroom.
the judges will go from room to room and watch each class' presentation. the judges were mrs. osorio, mr. almendarez and ms. aquino. all were cramming, all were panicky...and we didn't have a name for the mascot yet! good thing owen thought of something. Astromon voyanazar. familiar, eh? owen got it from the incantation or passage that the characters from the GMA 7 show encantadia say in order to open a portal of some sort. he just changed some letters, that's all.
in short, we didn't get eliminated, thanks to our class' efforts, jason's antics and of course, Gerald's wicked extempo skills.
Let's move on to the finals, tomorrow, shall we, guys? :D
NOVEMBER 23
a. mascot making contest finals
...this time, in the covered court.
here, we really had fun. all were helping jason put on his costume, buy him water and even fan him. we took lots of pictures and had a really nice bonding time together.
on stage, I discovered Jamie's knack for acting [jeme, you really should act on stage often, dude.], how thick-faced Jason was [in a positive way, dude] and I proved that Gerald's really amazing at speaking in front of an insanely wild crowd.
we won the first place. yey!
NOVEMBER 26
a. sports fest
...in the covered court. since it was the second quarter, our teams were our second year sections.
it was fun...and it brought back many memories.
it was then that I realized that I really am going to miss curie 2 when I get to college.
NOVEMBER 30
a. economics contest
...in the conference hall. gerald and I were the representatives of the school and we were extremely nervous.
i really should try and shake off this habit...or should i say sensation of throwing up when I am rattled. I swear I was thisclose at puking at gerald because of nervousness. good thing it never happened.
we got in the eliminations and we moved in the final round. i tell you this, current events suck. we didn't get any of these questions right! but thankfully, we were able to pull it through.
we won in the final round and we even got the highest pointer awards for school and individual[gerald]. i even got P 425. yey! christmas shopping money.
Thank you, God for the blessings. :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
well...that's it for november! :D cheerio. :D

part one

first post for the month of december.

at long last, the silence that lingered quite long enough was finally broken. i finally thought of something to write.

Let's look back at the past issues and happenings I should have written here for the past month, shall we? :D

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. November 12
a. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSIE!!! :D
one of the most responsible, hardworking persons I know! thanks for everything, josie. my wish for you? 10 hours of good sleep. and I wish you could get through the REM cycle of your sleep, every single night.
b. perio day. what else can I say?
2. November 13
a. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, THEO!!! :D
Theo, you're one of those people whom I really treasure. and you are really becoming mature, and I really like that "maturing" image. I hope that maturity is not aesthetic though, dude. happy birthday, and well...er...grow up? ehehe...
b. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYE!!! :D
Kaye, I miss you. very much. `nuff said. Happy birthday!!! :D hope we could get together sometime. :D
c. last day of perio, couldn't be happier.
3. November 16
a. Harry Potter screening, sponsored by the PTA.
P180 for Daniel Radcliffe and the guy who played Cedric Diggory, who was, by the way, very attractive. :D The next day, an essay about the movie to be passed to ms. bongon.
3. November 18
a. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CEÑA!! :D
wow. how time flies. when we were just freshmen, I was taller than you. but, dammit. you boys sure grow fast, and I hate you for it. but, just the same, you're still a friend. :D Happy birthday!!!
b. I was quietly sitting near the curie 4 corridor, chatting with some friends and reading the econ handout for the contest, then a voice piped up.
"Miles, ano yang inaaral mo? wala tayong eliminations ngayon, kasi naiwan ko yung test niyo! kaya sa monday na lang."
"sige po, salamat po! wow, new hairstyle po ah!"
"oo naman. oo nga pala, kumusta na kayo ni !#$%^&? teka nga, tawagin ko nga! mag-usap kayo."
oh...crap.
my jaws hung open in disbelief.
She's not joking.
She disappeared into the room.
I never felt so cornered in my entire life. my brain told me to flee from the tension. so i stood up. I ran to my classroom. I asked my classmates to hide me, and to not tell anybody where I am.
"Miles! Miles!"
dammit. so, she found me, and she brought with her the last person I want to be stuck inside an elevator with.
she brought us outside. they took our picture.
well...`nuff said.
~~~~~~~~~~~
to be continued. my mom wants me to hit the sack right now.
